A state of the art testing lab equipped with the contemporary ultra precision Quality Control equipment has been set up to ensure that not only the raw material and the final product but also the work-in-process conforms to the standards as required for the job by the customer.
All the lab equipment has been manufactured in temperature controlled laboratory comparing to some of the best in the world following strict NABL and ISO criterion for testing and calibration. Further all equipment is automatic high end and adheres to the latest ASTM, DIN, BIS and IS Standards.
Following is a brief description of the instruments in the lab :
Optical Density Meter : Measures the optical density of plastic films where high barrier properties are critical for use in special applications.
Co-efficient of Friction Tester : It reveals the stackability of plastic films. It helps prevent accident due to friction in packaging, loading and transportation of materials. Friction also results from uneven film thickness, which leads to uneven film strength. The co-efficient of friction also helps in assessing the degree of abuse a plastic film will sustain without damaging the contents.
Digital Tensile Testing Machine : For checking Tensile / Breaking Strength, Flexural Strength and Compressibility of films for determining their suitability for any specified application.
Color Matching Cabinet : Provides standardized and controlled environment for visual assessment for maintaining consistent color quality by enabling the evaluation of color samples under different light sources. It also controls color variations in master batches, when viewed under varied lights.
Dart Impact Tester : It is used for checking the impact strength of the plastic films by determining the energy that causes plastic films to fail under specified conditions of the impact of a freely falling dart.
Light Fastness Testing : For most materials colorfastness against artificial light is an important property that determines their suitability for many specific end uses. This is determined by exposing test specimens taken from the sample under test to a controlled intensity of artificial light under a specified humidity and temperature to obtain a specified degree of exposure.
Digital Hot Air Oven : Manufactured strictly as per ITA (International thermal Association), it provides conditions for accelerated tests and exposures.
Specific Gravity balance : Helps in identification of any material by directly reading its specific gravity. It is also used to find out if the sample and the product are prepared from the same compound or not. A rough assessment about the physical properties of the material can also be gauged with its help.
GSM Round Cutter : It is used to prepare specimens of predetermined size for determining the weight per unit area (GSM - grams per square meters) of plastic films.
Digital Hi-Precision GSM Balance : Used for calculating the GSM with precision of about 1 GSM or 0.01 gms.
Thermohygrometer : Displays the humidity and temperature condition in the testing laboratory and helps to compare them with the standards.
Tearing Strength Tester : Used to determine the tearing strength of plastic films which is important where the transport and handling conditions are not conducive to the pouch / film treatment.
